Any of the east coasters feel the earthquake today. I was traveling at the time and did not feel it. My daughter said it rocked their house. This is somewhat different for us. Hurricanes, yes, earthquakes, no. Lived on west coast and got use to the quakes. No damage in our area, but it really made the news.

I work in Greensboro and some of my coworkers felt it. We are having construction work in our building, so I may have overlooked it as a continuation of the jack hammer activity downstairs... lol. Called DH, who was home at the time, and he didn't know anything about it.

A friend in NYC area was on her way with dh and kiddos to play putt-putt and thought their car had turned into a funny car the way it jumped and jerked for a bit. All is well. They live on Park avenue in one of the mid rise buildings and no one there had to evacuate.

Didn't feel it here but my daughter in DC said they just had a little broken glass in the lobby of her hotel on Capitol Hill.

I felt it. I was getting my cat out of the tree and my first thought was "why is the tree shaking?? it's not supposed to be shaking. wait, it's probably just an earthquake" then my cat jumped out of the tree and ran inside. I can cross it off my bucket list now though. but I don't see what the big deal is (around here anyway), we've been told since elementary school he sit on a fault line.

I was in Jo Ann's at the time. My world is rocked every time I go in there, so I never noticed. My DH called to tell me and I stood there saying "yeah, right" while a half dozen people listened. They all felt it. Boy was I the fool...

I just returned from a cruise on Sun and was very tired so decided to take a little nap. The bed started to feel like it was rocking and rolling and I thought it was just because of the cruise. (that happens to me for a few days after a cruise) When I heard the windows rattle and the bedroom door moved, I knew it was not my imagination. No damage and the only thing that happened was a picture on a shelf in the kitchen fell. Hope everyone else is safe.
