Default Are you planning on looking at the eclipse?

I have read many eye surgeons say do not look at the eclipse, not even for a second. There is no way to guarantee any safe glass doesn't have a pinhole of no coverage. Enough to cause serious eye damage. Children should not be encouraged to look at all. So many of the 'safe' glasses distributed are now not considered safe at all even with the seal of approval on them. Stay safe, don't look.

I've decided to just watch it on the internet. Safer that way

I'll probably be inside. I have enough trouble with my eyes from being on the computer and cell phone and tablet so much.

Yes!....for brief periods while wearing the proper eye protection! The grands are here; we're having an eclipse party...with sparklers to use during totality, and eclipse- decorated cupcakes.

I'll go outside but will "look" at the sun/moon on the television. The safest way and best to see it all.

My husband and I are going to watch it in our front yard. We went shopping yesterday and don't plan on leaving the house until Wednesday after the majority of the "tourist" and mad man drivers are gone. Traffic here is just awful with all the people coming up from California, I seen someone from Virginia even.
The gas lines are long, they jacked up the prices and some stations ran out of gas.

We are not near the path so I'm not sure how it'll be here. Good note of caution, 'though.

"Don't let the eclipse be the LAST thing you see" , as one scientist put it. I will look outside to see if it gets darker outside and watch the eclipse on the newscast.

Probably not. I heard that pets will get weirded out by it so I'll probably be watching them instead
