I get some lovely baskets at Goodwill and Sallyann's. There are usually masses of them there all year long.

I love doing baskets....for Christmas, birthdays, weddings, any occasion. I just pick a theme of some kind (kitchen, baking, children's, etc.), then fill a basket to my heart's content. Seems to work really nicely when I find difficulty finding a gift for people who seem to have everything. Sometimes I don't use baskets but use something like an expensive cookie tray or a big wooden bowl to house all the goodies in. I embellish the Christmas ones with faux Poinsettia blooms, pinecones and plain red glass Christmas ornaments, too. Then wrap in clear cellophane, tied with a thick ribbon (like the kind found at Sam's or Costco sold in the rolls near Christmas time) and it's ready to go. I sure have fun building baskets and mostly use the basket ideas for all my gifts nowadays.
