Haven't been on lately because I lost my computer hook up. Living with my DD for the last 8 years and she decided she needed to save money so the TV and computer went. And she needs to find someone to move in who can give her more money.
Sooo..
I am moving to VA to live with my brother. And right after I met another board member a few weeks back. Oliva's Grammy. We had a very nice brunch in Fayetteville I was looking forward to having a quilter buddy. Someone who actually knew what I as talking about. :-)
So I am moving to Virginia Beach. This is going to be a real culture shock for me because I have lived in GA since '88 and in a small town . I am going to miss my friends farm across the street and the open spaces. And I will have to get use to real traffic again.
Are there any fabric stores anyone would recommend once I learn my way around a bit?

I am so sorry this is happening to you! I hope the "culture shock" isn't too terrible! There are probably a lot of quilt shops in that area and I am sure you will make new quilting friends soon.... :D

I know your move is upsetting but remember...out of every negative there is a positive. You may not realize what it is for a while but in time you will see.

Thanks all . yeah after the first few weeks of being a basket case I figured there must be a reason this is happening. but I sure would love to find one place to stay and not move all the time. lol
But my humane society friends are not happy. I guess I am suppose to just concentrate on my quilting for awhile. But I don't know what I am going to do with ONLY one dog. Lol

Good to know you are still around! Good luck with your move.
I agree with the others. Things happen for a reason :)

There are board members in VA Beach! And I'll be visiting in July next year.

You can find the humane society there too- they will be happy to have you, I'm sure!

Just think of the new adventures you will have- new people new quilt shops- and best of all (in my book) the OCEAN!!!!

Good luck on your new neighborhood!

When a door closes a window of opportunity opens. I am hoping your open window brings you lots of fresh breezes.

Well, I guess the universe is pushing me to concentrate on my quilting and adding in some incentive. Two people saw my Hobo kitty picture and want me to do one for them of their pet. So if they still want one after the first of the year ....
I am not one much for the Ocean at least not to swim in . But I do like to walk on the beach when everyone else goes home. :-)
