when I go to another quilting site,my spywear/security is picking up these cookies.Who puts them in and why pab

These are "tags" used by many sites to 'find' you again for advertising, etc. You can set your computer to refuse most of them or not.
click START (lower left corner of screen)
click CONTROL PANEL
click INTERNET OPTIONS
click PRIVACY tab at the top
look through the options and set what works for you by sliding the little bar up and down.(Mine is set at medium high, for instance.)
Also, check the POPUP BLOCKER box below this bar.
Click OKAY
