I have had some cats like that. I had one male cat years ago that would entertain himself with a small plastic bead. It would pick it up with his paw and put it in his mouth, roll it around, spit it out, chase it, and start all over again.

I also had a female cat that would drink from the toilet until we bought a pet fountain.
