In November, my husband and I, and my parents will travel to Cosby, TN to stay in a lovely, spacious, secluded cabin in the woods at the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains for an entire week.

After this long, long, so very hot and dry summer, I am very much looking forward to that week. It can't come soon enough.

Last year, Mama and I toted projects with us to work on; this year is all about relaxing. All I'm taking is a stack of good books to bury my nose in during the evenings!

Good move!! Reading is wonderful and taking a break from sewing will re-energize you for new projects. Have a wonderful trip and enjoy!

Ohhhh, that sounds like a slice of heaven. I hope you have a great trip and you spend it unplugged!!! Read, play board games, take along some handwork, and the week will go too fast.

That time of year you should get some good tree-gazing in, too! There's no more beautiful time of year than the height of fall color. :)

Enjoy! I know the feeling, we are off to Toronto in the morning for 10 days, with a little side trip to Niagra Falls...so looking forward to cooler weather.

That sounds heavenly! specially the stack of books... one thing that has suffered since I love sewing is my book reading. :)
