7 year old granddaughter Maddy was so fun this weekend! We didn't get to sew but did go to Joanns, I went to buy a thimble and the fat quarters were in the same isle. She touched and looked at all of them peeking at me in between. I finally told her she could pick ONE well she kept looking and touching until I gave in to two. We then went to Walmart to buy fabric for her step moms curtains she paused by the fat quarters and you could see her drool!!! So I said ok just one. while we were waiting for fabric to be cut I could see her feeling the fabric and glancing at me she was so into it I had to buy her another piece! Little bugger she is hooked!
and is wrapped around grandmas little finger!

I wish she lived closer 6 hours one way to see her puts a crimp in our sewing time.. This weekend there just was no time to get things out and set up. She has already made a quilt and some pillows.

Oh Donna, so glad you got to spend some fun fabric shopping time with Maddy. You will have to teach her how to make dotee dolls. My granddaughters want to everytime they come up now.

It's the most wonderful feeling to see our DGDs learn to love fabric like we do. Every time I go to the fabric store mine wants to go too. She had my number the time she said "grandma, this baby (what she calls a fat quarter) talks to me. I knew she was hooked just like me. Have fun grandma.

Who is wrapped around whose finger? Sounds like she's got you completely bamboozled, Grandma! You're never too young to develop fabric lust!
