Unhappy we sprung a leak!!

drats drats & double drats!!!

discovered this afternoon late that my sewing room has sprung a leak!!! the upstairs bathroom wasn't seated propperly.. ( had it replaced last year) and it has been leaking all this time right ONTOP of some of my fabric!!! I was lucky . I had a pice of foam core board on top of some things and the leak hit that first and deflected most of the water from the fabric!! ( whew......) I don't think I lost any fabric, but I've been doing alot of washing, drying and refolding on any pieces felt even the slightest bit damp......

Always seems to be a setback.......

Kudos to the plumbing company.. they were here with in 10 min of my call!!!

leak fixed, but still have a ugly black hole in closet ceiling to be repaired..... sigh

Oh, that is so scary. Water can do so much damage and it is sneaky. Years ago (I was in 4th grade) during Thanksgiving dinner in the dining room a slow leak in the bathroom finally broke through the ceiling onto the piano and splashed everyone on that side of the table. What a mess. Glad you did not lose any fabric.

Leaks are the pits, at least the black spot is mostly out of sight. I do most finishing jobs and hate it. We have a wonderful SIL and Son that are real good handymen, Husband is too. He is like me and getting tired of home repairs and fixing up.

Oh my, I thought I had problems when the December bill came in for 49 thousand gallons of water! It must be a leak in the underground irrigation system for a large backyard on the side of a hill. There's only me and the cat to cope with this and the cat says she doesn't do windows or water leaks. Turned off the outside water and will try to find the leak when the ground dries out. Leak detector here I come.
