Default cut roses

While surfing the net, I came across this tip for cut flower solution:

One part "regular" (contains sugar) lemon- lime soda/ pop ( Sprite, 7-Up, generic) to three parts room temperature water.

Change after three days.

Seems to work. The liquid is staying clear. -one of the roses is still hanging in there ( delivered Feb 12 and today is Feb 22)

Of course, it helps when the flowers are in good condition when delivered.

Add an asprin and just use the lemon-lime drink and it works well, my MIL used to work in a floral and they sent these with all the roses.

When I seldom get flowers, they always croak so quickly. Thanks for the post.

We received roses from our neighbor's husband's "blanket" from the casket. It was below 0, so she shared the roses with us--25 of them.. It has been 2 weeks and they are ready to go out now, but how we have enjoyed them.
