Default DD wedding dress

My "hippie" daughter asked me to make this dress for her wedding. I bought the material 30 years ago just for that purpose. She bought a fancy dress for her first wedding, but wanted homemade for her second. She thinks simple and homemade will be good luck, since fancy and store-bought didn't last. My husband took the other picture.

That's beautiful! I love the fabric and the lace over the arms - she'll love it, I'm sure!

Beautiful job and the lace is gorgeous. It pays to hold on to things! My DD wanted me to make her wedding dress back in the 90's, but I declined even though I previously did 2 fancy prom dresses for her. I did end up making the 3 bridesmaids' dresses though as it was a fairly simple pattern. She wanted me to make the wedding cake too, for petes sake! That was my pre-quilting life though. Now I've made it clear my machine is set up for quilting!
