That came through here last night, thought our windows would rattle right out of their frames. We had a big old tree removed from behind our house last fall. It was already losing big branches - probably would have lost a lot of it on our house last night if it was still here. Be safe everyone!!

Heard that the bad weather is heading east now. Not going to be as severe though. Glad I'm retired, but I worry about the family that has to go out in it.

Lots of wind and rain here and it is getting colder. Sure glad to have the pellet stove tonight. Tomorrow night they are calling for some snow. Not as much as the Dakotas, but snow none the less. Hope everyone stays safe and snuggy warm.

Here in the central part of NC we are under a tornado watch, however two counties to our west is under a tornado warning. It has been windy and very humid here today. Not normal weather for October.

Just got awakened by the siren again. Glad I don't have to go to work till 2 today or I would be driving straight through the tornado warning all the way in.

Had some heavy rain last night, no thunder etc. Still under a watch till 10 am.
The main part of the storm went around where I am, either over or under.
We don't have alarms for tornados if they are in the area, only the weather on tv or internet.

We didn't have any tornados during the storm but gusts up to 85mph and the straight line winds are almost as bad as a tornado. Some had roof damage and several trees downed. I had to chase a utilities truck down yesterday morning to tell him that a tree had fallen on a line and knocked it down. Luckily the winds have slackened a little right now but they're supposed to come back up today.

I am wondering with all this crazy weather we have been having what kind of Winter this season will bring. Last Winter tons of snow, unusual, then overly hot Summer, now unusual Fall.
