I don't want to cause trouble because I too am a worrier. But to fixate on something like that seems un-real. Maybe just someone who is throwing a stink bomb in the hall - to see what kind of trouble they can stir up? I too have learned when I start to worry to count my blessings.

I read a great quote once that is so true.

Worrying is like being in a rocking chair. It gives you something to do but gets you nowhere.

I really live by this and I used to be a big-time worrier.
Now I'm not and it frees up time for more interesting things.
Hope this helps someone!! :)

Just spotted this today - a massive solar storm is supposed to hit in 2012. http://in.news.yahoo.com/139/2010082...arth-in_1.html

In a weird way, this story just made me giggle. I'm not worried about it. At worst, I'm going to treat it as though a hurricane is coming; I'm going to make a preparedness pack, make sure I have extra non-fridge foods, etc. But I'm not going to let this make me ill with anxiety.

Lynnie, I know it will not do any good to tell you not to worry. I can tell you to stop and join with the Holy Spirit and say aloud "I choose peace".. Say it over and over. The future is not for us to know. If you study geology you will find that severe earthquakes, and such are in the earths past. I live on top of a rather high hill. I have always assumed that it was when the earth had a volcano and this hill lifted up. They are building a huge tollroad road through my property and expert geologist have been all over and I discovered that this hill was at one time a riverbed. It means all the low land washed away. Quite a surprise to me but it was obvious when they dug down 30 feet that it had been a riverbed in the past. That means that the town below me was under water at one time. Who would have thought such. Love your husband and son and thank God everyday for them. It is not worth wasting a minute of love today to worry about tomorrow. Peace!

What a waste of precious time. Worrying about the world coming to an end and worrying that we have to save the planet. We can't change either, world and planet was here long before we got here and will be here long after we are gone. Wackos want to control people and run their lives, follow the money, always someone waiting in the wings to make a buck.

Haven't you ever heard of Fraud?

I received this poem in my email after 9/11, when all you seen on tv was fear and chaos, it brought great peace to me then and still does today. This poem is by Joni Ames.

I've cried to God as I've beheld
The world wrapped up in fear
Of lack and death and war that looms
To snatch lives held so dear

I said, "My God! - Have you not heard
The newsmen on TV?!
Do you not know the shape we're in?!
Do you not care for me?!"

"I'm scared, Dear Jesus! - Help us! - Please!
There's news of fear and war
And I'm afraid, Lord - I admit! -
Of what might be in store."

"Peace, be still, My child," He said
"And hear now what I say
For I have seen and heard the cries
Of those who, to Me, pray.

"Keep your eyes upon ME now
Not what you hear or see
And, as you do, you'll keep My peace -
IF your mind stays on ME!"

"It matters not what one man says
Or even many more
For I am God, and I decide
Each day what lies in store."

"I've told you there would be such times
When, of these things, You'd hear
I told you so you'd be PREPARED
And FULL OF PEACE, not fear."

"For all these things MUST be fulfilled
Yet MY WORD fails not
For I AM still your Hiding Place
As all the fires rage hot."

"You're hid beneath MY shadow now
And you can rest in Me
Yes you can trust My Words of LOVE
To last eternally."

"For I'm your Father, Counselor, Friend
Your Alpha and your End
And if this was the world's last day
Be sure, for you, I'd send."

"I've promised I'd save you a place
If you would stay in Me
Stay pure and faithful, eyes on Me
And, victory, you'll see."

"I can't tell you if it's 'the end' -
NO human man can know
But I CAN tell you, it IS close,
So be prepared to go."

"Each day I give you, reach in love

To save another soul
For snatching them from Me for Hell
Is truly Satan's goal."

"Occupy until I come
Live each day FULL in ME
Just keep your eyes upon MY face
And know that I DO see."

"I see the world, I see YOUR LIFE
And I DO care for YOU
And know, no matter WHAT occurs
My love for you stands TRUE."

"I'm Alpha and Omega - God -
I'm King and Lord of ALL
I'll be right near to care for you
As, on My name, you call."

"For I can change the hearts of Kings
And I, their hearts, do try
And I'M the one who formed this world
And says when it shall die."

"So, USE this time to SEEK THE LOST
And tell them of My Love
That they, too, may be saved and live
With Me, again, above."

"Don't listen to fear's voice - hear MINE!
Then STAND on what you've heard
Don't fear yours or the world's fate -
It's destined by MY WORD."

"Keep your eyes on ME, My Child,
And let Me wipe each tear
For I am God and IN CONTROL -
So live in peace, not fear."

I have to agree with you here, I could always use a good vacation in Heaven hanging out with Jesus singing Holy Holy Holy!

And the best part is no more bills!!!

Billy
Amen to that Billy!!!
Lets just say if yer gonna worry about something you can't control (like the date) I feel sorry for you. Life is way too short to not be happy about the here and now. You have friends and family that are here NOW. Enjoy them, cherish them. Don't scare them and yourself over something that noone has control over.
Geeze, hug your kids, hug your hubby, hug the dog then start working on a quilt for charity, for your Mom or better yet, for yourself....
Just remember this. No matter who you are, or what you do, each day ends for someone. Just be thankful that this isn't YOUR day...
OK, Jumping off soapbox now.
Night!!!! :-D

Lynnie... easy to say don't worry but sometimes hard not to, no one can control all, too many variables, and seems many are or can be intrusive into our world, if they want to be bored go for it (I'm pretty boring) by most standards, :) Trust in what ever brings you peace, know most things will all work out, exhale and enjoy what you have currently and we can only try to make the best of a bad situation when they happen. {{{ hugs }}} :)
