Went to the high school football game last night for senior night. Our DGD is on the drill team. I know that it's going to be a new beginning for her as she gets closer to graduation, but it's sort of bittersweet for me. Doesn't seem that long ago that she was a toddler. Below is a picture of me, Lexi & my husband. Isn't she beautiful?!

I remember those days. Now all of my daughters are married and I have 5 DGSs. Hoping for a DGD. Life is still sweet after they grow up. There is more time to do things with your husband and for yourself. We baby sit 3 days a week and it is almost like having your own little kids again. She is a very pretty girl!!

She is very beautiful. But as they get older your relationship does change, for the better. They become your friends as well as your child. The time I spend with my mother now is as priceless and when I was a child.

What a beautiful girl! The photo reminds me of my DDs when they were in high school drill team too. Now, POOF, they're college grads and married and I have 6 grandkids, one of whom, my DGD, is entering high school next year.
I'm sure your DGD loves the fact that you were there watching her!

It means so much when you are there to watch them. I teach at a smaller private school and watch "my kids" graduate every year (always tears!) and then watch them come back. Last night was Homecoming -got to see many of them, some with spouses and babies with them. It matters to them for you to be there- I can assure you! It's a favorite part of their school memories.
