Alright, I'm a science nerd, but I'm so facinated by this launch today!!! A friend of mine helped train these guys for the mission. Thankfully he will get to see the final launch later this year!!! It is going to be bittersweet!!! :) :(

I'm only about 50 miles away. Getting ready to go out and take pictures. Still gives me goosebumps even after 100+ launches. Godspeed, Discovery!

My son & DIL were there to see it. My hubby & I saw Atlantis last May. It certainly is awesome watching liftoff. We were on a tour boat & got reasonable close. It was so much nicer than trying to fight the crowds on land.
