we built one, using recycled HUGE panes of glass...now we are rethinking this...the temp in there right now is 158!
YES, you read that right...

I need a ventilation fan I am thinking...and I would love it to be solar...

if you have a greenhouse, do you have ventilation fans, a cooling system, etc???

we are also shuddering the glass half way up and adding an awning to the top as well....

hopefully all of these things will help make this greenhouse work as an actual greenhouse!

We have a green house my DH built , It has a window running the lenght of it on hinges that lifts up for ventilation. It doesn't look so great but he enjoys it. It is built out of fiber glas stuff , low budget.

A fan will help a lot :D depending on where you live and the size of the greenhouse, you may need more than one :D:D:D

Some people put some whitewash paint on the top of the greenhouses during summer. If you have rain this could go inside the top glass. Possibly could leave it off on the North side.

Or you could put some of the emergency foil blankets over it to reflect the sun, but I'd take in consideration any cars that have to drive with that blasting the sun back into my face..might cause accidents.

Or you could put tarp over it in summer.

I have on top of my house about 3 exhaust fans that work simply by wind power to pull heat out of my attic.

You could put in annual vines and train them to grow over the greenhouse, or at least the South and East/West sides, and cut them down in late fall.

Or you could put up some 4 or 6 tall, heavy poles and string some shade cloth over the greenhouse.

I have 2 large greenhouses. Yes you need fans, ventillation, misters and even an evaporative cooler in the summer if you plan on growing plants and keeping them alive.
