You and Ditter should get the Pulitzer for Mug Rug Poetry!
Ditter should get it for best comedic moment! Still chuckling over her mug rug guidance. lol...

My mug rug poem

I could have made a bigger quilt,
I'm ready (and I'm able)

But instead I made this tiny quilt
to save your lovely table

So when you're drinking something hot
and want to rest your mug

Remember that your special cup
now has its own sweet rug

I'm still laughing about your poem Ditter!

These are all really cute poems! It would be fun to continue this collection of mug rug poetry in ncsewer's topic! We could include all them with our mug rugs when we give them as gifts, kind of like fortune cookies!

A couple of us here in my family had these additions:

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Is it a quilt for an elf, to cover herself?
Would it help keep a frog warm under a log?
Did someone get drunk and this quilt, she shrunk?
Just give me time to think! Here, let me rest my drink.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

There does not seem to be very much of me.
But I'm a good place, you’ll see,
To rest your cuppa tea.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

I know I've made a lot of rings
With my wet drinks on all your things
So to make amends and ease my guilt
I'm giving you this little quilt.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

I'm a little mug rug sitting all alone,
put your mug on me and give me a home
