A standard coffee scoop holds 2 tablespoons, which is one fluid ounce, or 1/8 cup. The CFON one is probably the same.

Betty62, I have kitchen equipment from both sides of our families, back to early 1900's. When I am gone, I have told the girls to sit down and choose what they want and enjoy them as well.

Why don't you just fill it with liquid, pour into a measuring cup, and VOILA! The info is right on the measuring cup.

You're right. Maybe we need a QB After I'm Gone Care for My Stuff sign up sheet and we can match up with another member willing to take over guardianship of things that matter to us. Like my 60 year old teddy bear.......

Thank you, I think this is the answer to my quest.

I have used my "the heavenly coffee" red scoop for over 30 years. I filled it with water just now; it measured almost exactly 3 tablespoons of water.

Relating to Pudge's comment: what a great idea to have a thread on QB for after we've gone. I've already told my sister and best friend to take all my stuff out of the house before my husband and darling daughters try to toss them. It would be great also to be able to let QB members know where to come for some of the extras.

I just finally bought one on ebay, and it is 2T of water. The new scoop that the Chock Full O'Nuts company sent me is the Same size as the original scoop, and also Fresh Market has these coffee scoops, in a strange shape, but they also are hold the same amount of coffee or liquid as the original Chock Full O'Nuts scoop!!!

I've seen some replies of 3 tablespoons, but that is incorrect, now that I have an original scoop!
