I have made them for my DDs. how i do it: fold towel in half lengthwise, pin edges. round off one corner on the fold side. Measure from that edge on the fold about 12 inches over. the draw a line from there tapering acrosslength of towel, down to about 4" from the open side. pin and trim off excess. on the "fat" end of the towel pin a 6-8inch length of elastic folded in half so that the fold is inside the towel.Sew that end (serge if you have one) catching in the elastic. Sew/serge along the taper you made the down the short end of towel. turn right side out. Hope this helps.

I've made several of these and had one for a sample so I made a pattern. I don't put the elastic in mine...I use the loop and button. These are so cute embroidered, too. I did some for my nieces and they loved them. I need to make some more, now that I think about it!! Super easy and quick.
Oh, I use the smaller sized bath towels so I don't have too much left over fabric.

Oops! that would help, wouldn't it?? I use lightweight bath towel. One that is too thick will not twist and go thru the loop easy. another thing- my DDs with super thick, long hair did have a hard time twisting their hair in the towels even though I used the light weight ones. their hair was just too heavy to stay wrapped up good

I have done over a dozen of these. I use the instructions at http://perfectlittlestitches.com/dow...rapProject.pdf. Key is to use a very lightweight towel as previously noted. I use the inexpensive towels from Walmart that are
