My cocker spaniel gets picky after she has spent a weekend at my DD (I am sure she has been given table food), so BF puts a drop or two of bacon grease on it and she wolfs it down. Seems to trigger her appetite going forward. Sure the catsup does that too - spoils them!

We had a dog once that we obtained from an elderly couple who couldn't control him. He was quite large. He wouldn't eat and after I had tried a variety of foods called the owners who told me "oh honey, I always put a little chicken broth on his food and gave him cookies with peanut butter for going outside to pee" Wow I thought this dog is in trouble.

Most all dogs I have owned or been around will eat anything that is chicken or has chicken mixed with it. Some of mine would always come running when I said chicken.

When I was a teen, my grandmother would peel grapes for our dog. Talk about spoiled.

And yes, I do know (now) that you should not feed grapes to dogs. Obviously Grandma didn't know.

I had a dog who loved cabbage cores. All I had to do was cut into a head of cabbage and there she was. Only time she came into the kitchen when I was cooking and never got people food.....'cept for that. She was a kewl dog. DH didn't think so when he had to share the core. lol
