I make macrame neck pieces. There are tons of sites and this is one of the best:

I made plant hangers, owls, and a lampshade back in the day! I think the pattern books went the way of other old crafting stuff. Good luck!

Check on e-bay. I have purchased some of my favorite books that were lost in my move. The cord and bead selections are very small as well. I loved my plant hangers. Fortunately, I am also starting to see more potted plants available -- which is a good thing.

I have some, PM me and we will talk. I never use a pattern, I just start tying. In 96 when I moved to FL from TX I got a bunch of cord on sale at various places and must make some new ones for out porch, big and covered. Be happy to send you some patterns.

Thanks for asking about macrame.. I haven't done any for years.. but recently when I was unpacking some boxes I found some cord I still have.. now, if I can find my books.. I'm going to bookmark this thread so I can find those websites again.. It might be fun to do it again after all these years.

I loved those old jute plant hangers. I have always thought if someone gave them a *push* the hobby would come back... there are so many *expensive* hobbies... outside of a lot of jute cord and a few rngs and big wooden beads, you are back in business LOL
