Default Does Anyone Have Experience Doing Piece Work?

I am in the process of hiring a couple of women to do piece work for me and am wondering about what to pay them.
It is a three step process.
1. Zig zag trim onto a triangle
2. Mitre the corners with a straight stitch
3. Finish the corner seams with herring bone.

Thanks in advance.

If they are doing the whole process, then pay them per completed unit.
You also might want to set out the required quality standards ... achieve those, or no payment.

The piece work I did in the past was for other Upholstery shops. I had a set price list, and that is what they paid.

Depends on the amount of work they will be doing. And how long it takes.

Is there any shops around you can call to get an idea? Any profession would do, just to get an idea of going rate.
