What do you do in between baths to keep your dog from smelling "doggy'?

I'm not up for a bath tonight and he smells like he took a swim in the pond! :shock:

Do a wipe down with baby wipes.

I use an herbal spray called Perfect Scents. It stays on my baby for about a week even with her running outside all day!

sprinkle a little baking soda on the coat and wipe down with a used dryer sheet. It really works. Just a dusting of the baking soda.

I buy the spray the vet uses. It's a deodorant cologne and it works great. I think most pet groomers have it too. It's much better then the spray stuff you find at the store.

I am a retired Dog Groomer,Groomed from 1973,until now,Did my SIL Poodlemix and my DD poodle a few weeks ago, just can't get away from it. Don't get paid for it any more either :lol:
A lot of the perfumed sprays are Alcohol based,that is why they dry so quickly. I did use a cologne on dogs & cats if I was given permission to do so by the owners. Most liked the cologne but it was alcohol based so I didn't use if animal had sensitive , or dry skin. So if you are using any kind of cologne and dog or cat is sneezing or scratching a lot and you know it isn't because of flea bites or insect bites then it could be the cologne.
A very good VET. Friend of mine who is now deceased told me about the Baking soda and used Dryer sheets. Most people have both in their house. If you look next time you buy cat litter some of the most expensive have baking soda. The dryer sheet just makes it easier to spread and adds a sheen to dogs or cats coat.

Actually some of it costs as much as some of the perfumes people use and some of them smell better than some of expensive stuff we use too. I used 3 kinds when I was in the doggrooming business. One was unisex and the other kind was for boys and one for the Girls,grown animals and the other was for Puppies and Kittens. . :lol: :lol: :lol:
