Not my job, another job! I have been feeling like there is something amiss at my job. I almost never see my manager, even if he is talking to my team-mate right next to me he doesn't say a WORD to me. The other day my manager did come up and ask me to schedule some server work. Moments after he left my male team-mate walked up and asked if the boss wanted HIM for something? Really? He automatically assumes that if the boss is in our desk area, it can only be to talk to HIM? This team-mate is someone to watch your back with.

Anyway, I had a dream a week ago that I was transfered to working with the Administrative Assistants and they gave me the job of watering the plants. (I'm a telephone technician).

Last night I dreamed that I was working at a place that was like a huge thrift store. I mean HUGE, it was outside under tents and as big as a fairground. In the dream it was my first day there and I knew that I had just lost my other job.

There was a young, snotty woman that I was working with and we went to a children's area because she needed to order some things. There was such a mess in the area, things would fall if you touched anything, so I started organizing. She stopped what she was doing and took over what I was doing! So, I went to the next counter/cabinet and started organizing there. She came and took that over too (not finishing the first part). I just walked away. (I feel that my current team-mate is doing this type of thing).

I then went to help in the clothing and textiles and there were QUILTS! Selling for dollars!! I was thinking that I was going to be spending all my pay buying quilts!

I know it is my feelings about my job coming out in dreams. I wish I could retire. I want to be able to design my own quilts, sell patterns and quilts. I just can't do that right now but I'm working on making it possible in 8 years, the soonest I can take early retirement (if I'm still at my current employer).

Sounds like you need to check out job openings in fabric related retail! Maybe that would tame your dreams and help make your real dream come true.

I know what you are talking about.
When a manager talks to one and not to you.
I wish I could open up a fabric store too but no funds available.
Just in my dreams too!

I would love a job in a quilt shop. My organized soul would love it too. :)

I am about to close on an investment house and the payments are only $600 per month, including taxes and insurance. That is one part of my plan, to have a low payment. I couldn't even rent an apartment for that and if I do lose my job, I could afford that on lowered income.

I'm now turning my attention to looking at internet merchant accounts, Paypal, websites, etc.

One step at a time...

Pam, go ask your boss for a review. That way you will know exactly where you stand and what you need to do to improve.

Who says I need to improve? Just kidding, there's always room for improvement.

Reviews are coming up for last year so maybe I will learn something.
