I recently 'won' a bid on eBay for a Featherweight. The excitement was like waiting for Christmas! Well, 5 weeks later I am still waiting on my Featherweight to arrive.

I wanted to pass along a lesson learned maybe to help someone else. When ordering from Canada the item may be stuck in customs until they get ready to release it. If I had it to do over again - I would pass on such a 'deal'.

i''ve heard that... not only to Canada. i used to have relatives in England and packages took forever

we bought a 222 Featherweight from Turkey we got it in a week. Faster then something that came from Texas go figure

Can you track it? Just for the peace of mind? It's nice to know where your "stuff" is... if you can...

That would be something to ask your Border Security people ... it's the receiving country that causes any of the delays.

Don't let your 45-day window go by to claim non-receipt. After 45 days, if you don't get it you are OOL and no longer claim against the seller. You can always open a claim on day 44, then close it when you get the item.

The same thing happens when we order something from the USA. Some times it can get here really quick and other times it takes weeks.
