we park in drive-ways and drive on parkways,
and why is it when something is transported by automobile its a shipment,
but on a ship its cargo?

Never gave it a thought until you brought it up. Now I will be giving it some thought. And wondering why they did that.

I have heard the first one many times, but I have never heard the second one. They really do make you wonder about our language. LOL
