I started organizing my sewing room nearly a year ago. HONEST! I was washing and ironing every bit of fabric I had so it would be ready when I was ready for a new project. Usually I come up with an idea and by the time the fabric is washed, dried and ironed, my little mind has moved on to something new. Everything was moved out of the sewing room and things moved around to where they would work best.

Then I was re-diagnosed with Breast Cancer. Thought we had kicked it's but the year before but that wasn't to be. So instead of organizing the sewing room, I was taking chemo. The Abraxane caused such nerve pain that I ended having to use a walker with an attached seat so I could sit down after walking about 10 feet. Thankfully, I didn't have to stay on that chemo for long. After about 6months I was again able to walk without assistance though I get wobbly from time to time when tired.

Now after a year, I'm FINALLY feeling well enough to get it together.

MORE PICS TO COME

Pile of washed fabric. See the kitty?

Oh my! Wish I could help you organize it!!! I would LOVE to iron and fold all that pile of fabric (minus the kitty - would just cuddle him/her!), but I don't live anywhere near the "shadow"!! I'm sure you'll be able to get someone nearby to help sort and organize it!
I am so glad you are feeling better!!

Thanks ya'll. I'm doing much better. I have HER2+ Breast Cancer. Basicly a mutant gene that goes crazy and causes tumor growth. I will be on one form or other of chemo the rest of my life or until they can find something to stop it from happening. It gets old, but it's sure better than the alternative!!!

That's an awful lot of "stuff". Take it easy and be kind to yourself. Your health is more important than anything in that room.

I'm sorry to hear about the last year, but very happy to hear you're feeling better now. I wish we lived near to each other because I would iron your fabric for you and help you to organize. I love to organize spaces.
