It's sad that the other egg did not hatch, so only one baby eagle. The news reported that it is common that the eggs don't hatch and explained why. At least we got to enjoy watching the one hatch. It's been cold here in FL, freeze warnings the last two nights.

I've been watching the eagle cam - just wonderful! I saw two baby eaglets and the Mom, Juliet, feeding them. Just fascinating!

We have a cabin "up north" in Wisconsin where we see live eagles from time to time. They are Amazing in person!

that must be a different nest....Romeo & Juliet have 2 healthy nestlings!

i live near starved rock Illinois and the Eagles come there to the dam in the cold winter to fish in the Illinois river....as I understand, they have migrated down from Canada, where all the waters are frozen over, whereas here the dam keeps it from freezing......actually the end of January the Audubon society has a gathering and an eagle day there.....am planning on a visit that day...unless too cold! They are truly a sight to see!
