We finally got our power restored after almost a full week without. I have to say we had alot of fun camping in the back yard, cooking everything on the grill, even our morning coffee and the weather was beautiful up until today. I feel bad for those poor families who had roof damage, it has been a miserable rainy day today. Now that I have power again I've started getting my laundry caught up and my refigerator is very clean but empty! Nothing like starting over.

A few of you sent me PM's in response to my request for quilts for Tornado victims. Thanks to all who have offered to help. Now that I have power and alot of stored up energy, I can really get that effort started.

Well bless your heart. So glad to hear that you have your power back. It makes you realize just how dependent we are on electricity when we lose it!

Oh, God Bless You! I've been through a few long stretches in my life ( usually while it's also freezing cold out!) and I know how good that hum sounds when it starts up again. Hang tough - it can only get better from here.

It's one of those things that we don't really appreciate until we have to make do without it. Glad you didn't have to go without for too long

So happy to hear you are back in your home and getting back to a somewhat normal life. The pictures have been horrendous and I can't imagine it in person. Thank goodness you are safe and still have your house.

We didn't have power so never saw the news media. In person it is an unbelivable sight! A friends house had 2 bedrooms ripped right off the side of the house. It is a large brick home and it just took the roof and rooms with it. Their neighborhood looks like a war zone.
