DH never stops when he is driving. This morning he made an exception and stopped when he saw a vacuum seating next to the apartment building where we live. Last week I found an air conditioner , so he figured he may give it a shot since ours died some time ago. It wasn't working well (brushes not turning). He had the great idea of pushing the reset button and there it goes, perfectly new. I cleaned the inside and found a gold chain stuck in it with a very pretty charm.

Man and vacuum (yes, he still needs a hair cut)

Dumpster diving at apartment buildings are very profitable. I had a cousin who got a great wicker love seat and chairs. The people were moving and didn't want it anymore. One mans' trash is another mans' treasure.....Congrats on your find...Keep looking!

I am hoping to have someone come "diving" at my house this week. We bought a new computer desk for our basement, so my dh took out the fish tank cabinet (holds a 29 gallon tank) and he wanted to just throw it out. I told him to put it on the curb next to the trash tomorrow and hopefully someone would see it before the trash truck came and "steal" it. Guess I could put it on CRAIGSLIST for free instead, but I don't know if I want the hassle. I also have LOTS and LOTS of fish chemicals and tank accessories. We gave the tank to our turtles and now we don't need all the fish stuff.
