I don't like to get to close to where they are being shot off. One year at our State Fair I was standing with some people watching and cinders from it came down and I got it in my eye. Hurt like he-- and had to go to the first aid station they had out there. lucky it didn't do any damage to my eye.

they scare me up close. I was burned by the base of one when I was little.

Is the moral that beautiful things are dangerous? lol

Very pretty fireworks. We can generally see some of the local professional fireworks display from our house, but I didn't even go out to see last night. We also have neighbors (several of them) who buy their own and shoot them off. Those are the ones that scare me! I find fireworks casings in my yard the next day too.
