Two weeks ago I took DH to the eye Dr. and he had to get glasses! The whole 9 yards, progressive bifocals, glare resistant etc: Now he has needed them for about 3 years, but wouldn't go, used the drug store cheapies and had about a dozen pair of them, everywhere around the house and in the car and truck. If we went out to dinner, he never could read the menu, and never knew what the price of anything was in the stores. I got tired of being his "Guide Dog", so made him the appointment with my DR. Well, the questions started, "will he put anything in my eyes?" "is it going to hurt?", "what kind of frames should I get?" " don't want them to be noticeable!" etc:
For the next 3 days he moped around, and I could tell something was wrong! You know what I mean, just like a kid who is unhappy. I finally ask him what in the world was wrong and he said, and I quote!! "I'm getting old!!!" After stroking his ego for about an hour , because you all know what a nice person I am, I got fed up and said "GET OVER IT!!!"
He finally picked them up yesterday and came home with them on. I never said a word, just pretended I didn't notice them. Finally he said, "You never even noticed my glasses or said a word!!!"
   Couldn't help myself!

Men are such babies!

Yea, they can be babies at times.
When my hubby is in the bed sick, I sleep on the couch. Can't stand listening to him moan and groan. lol
Then I tell him to go see Doc and if he doesn't I'm going to call Doc and dime him out. lol

I know What you mean. Mine Has to go in for Day surgery foe his sinus. Is it going to hurt, how can anyone breath without their nose. Of a week of listening to this I asked why are you doing it then. He has not said a word about it YET.

Terri, last weekend our DS and DIL came to spend Sat. night. They brought their dog with them. They didn't get her until 10:00 at night and Mortimer didn't have time to get used to having another dog here before bed time1 We took him upstairs to bed and he stood at the door and whined until midnight. I finally got up and went down stairs and slept on the couch, so he could sleep with his Daddy in our bed! The things we do to have a little peace!

My DH doesn't think he wears glasses as he doesn't wear them all the time  . He should be wearing bifocals full time but won't because he "doesn't wear glasses!" Of course he has sets of glasses all over the house and in our cars and when he was working in the office, company car and his brief case. He has the glove compartment of my car filled with 3 pairs of his glasses; distance for driving, reading for general seeing and sun glasses in case they are needed.

They are so funny. As if glasses make you old. I wear glasses and I'm not old.....Just don't ask my kids if I'm old.
