If ya'll can pull this up to read, it is hilarious. It really happen. One of Dh's coworkers sent to him. This is a fishing trip they won't soon forget.

Another reason not to go fishing. Yikes!
I love the comment about one guy keeping a cool head and NOT shooting the gun. That's all they needed was a hole in the boat.
Great story. Bunch of sissy's :)
Funny story - but a bit sad. I can just hear the girly scream
If the thing was that old it really should have been put back in the water. :l
I agree (I'm a bit soft-hearted).Originally Posted by sewaholic
This is another reason I don't go in the ocean past my mid thighs. I am still scared of "Jaws" coming to get me. When we went to Corpus Christi this summer saw lots of jelly fish on the beach, I really watched out for the kids. Can't you just imagine a bunch of guys half lit & catching this thing. I would have locked the ice chest the first go round.
If the eel was in the ice chest, where were they getting the beers from?
I'm sure they had more than one ice chest with them. I mean what if they ran out of beer and they were more than 500m off shore. :lol:Originally Posted by JoanneS

If it were me and it was below, I'd just leave the door shut and not go down there. Then sail back to land and find someone to "rescue" the thing.
