Default Fons & Porter Quilting TV Show

How do we politely suggest that MaryAnn & Mary Fons get a stylist for their television show? I am so tired of their ugly hair (Mary's looked dirty) and Mary's scabbed fingers. Today their hair looked terrible on the show and no, I did not catch the episode number. Surely they can afford to look better. We may look unkempt at home doing our quilts, however, if we had a show, I would expect us to look different. Perhaps like we put some thought into our appearance. In my humble opinion, they should show some pride with a professional appearance. Am I the only one who has noticed? Okay.....off my soapbox....for now.

You know, I have never really paid attention. Yes, Mary's look is not one for me, but if she is happy with it, then that is all that matters to me. I'm sure a lot of people don't care about *my* look. At least she is not embarrassing us with her cleavage like several others on TV! I love how they show me techniques and tricks to do a better job of sewing/quilting. As for scabby fingers....to me it means they are real women who work with their hands and I love that.

People are entitled to look how they want. Whether or not it looks good or not is a matter of opinion. What you might not like someone else might. They are here to teach us new things, not look like runway models. I happen to like real looking people. I think there are too many people with too much make up, to much nip and tuck surgery which give viewers unrealistics views of how one should look. There is too much emphasis on vanity in the US it should be about what a person is on the inside or what good things they do, not how well made up they are. Just my opinion.

the dtr always looks odd. I'm getting used to her a bit though. sad the partner retired and mom is about to it looks like. everything is relaxed these days. I doubt my granddtrs know how to sit like a lady. too few women newscasters or show Hosts know either. i'm tired of looking up their skirts. but then, I can always change the channel. Oh don't get me started on cleavage. red wrap dress with cleavage on the weather news. sigh!

I'm not a big fan of the show. Not sure what but just not a big fan of it. Has nothing to do with their appearance. As far as appearance though according to nails, as long as they're clean. When you handle a lot of fabric on a constant basis it will dry out the hands and nails. As far as some of the others many like to show off their manicured nails. Can't remember which show it was but had artificial nails and one of the nails popped off and went flying. You could tell they stopped the taping because the nail was fixed but a little longer and the polish color was a little darker. I worked in a salon, I've seen this happen. But I LOL'ed when I saw that happen.

I have never really noticed their hair. When it was Liz and Maryann - I could never stay awake for the whole show.
