I just got home from a wonderful quilting retreat where I saw many fun loving people who have very big hearts. Many of them were familiar from last year and I also made some new friends. I even met several people from this board I didn't know belonged to my guild. It was so much fun. These women put a ton of work into making it a memorable event for everyone.

The classes were great. They always find people who are willing to share their experience with us, the relative newbies, and manage to teach tricks and techniques while having tons of patience along the way. Show and tell was awesome! Such talent!!! Even the games that were played showed a ton of creativity. There was not one dull moment.

I salute everyone who was involved in bringing this event about. I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it.

For anyone who hasn't had the opportunity to attend one yet, start saving up. The investment is well worth it. You will learn a lot and you will meet and make wonderful friends who will make your heart swell. As someone once said, "Friendship is like peeing your pants. Everyone can see it, but only you can feel the true warmth."

I have already marked my calendar for next years' retreat. I can't wait!
