My former pastor and his family of 4 boys stopped by to give me a fruit basket this evening. I have given many but it was my first time to ever receive one. I thought it was such a sweet thing for them to do.

Very nice! They must think a lot of you. Merry Christmas.

I am sure you will enjoy it, especially if the oranges are as sweet as the ones I have had this year.

I love fruit baskets! That's a wonderfully useful gift and just makes you feel good to know that they were thinking of you.

As kids we didn't get a lot of fruit other than what we raised on the farm--mostly apples, peaches, and black berries. Daddy farmed some land next to ours where the landowners lived in Florida. Every year for Christmas they'd send a bushel each of oranges and grapefruit. Mom would keep them hidden and on Christmas morning we'd find a large orange and a grapefruit in our stockings along with the nuts and candy. After Christmas Dad would act like someone knocked on the door and when he came back in he'd say--"That was the UPS man and he brought a bunch of oranges and grapefruit from Mr. and Mrs. I____. It took awhile for us to catch on but it was still a lot of fun, something to look forward to and it made a wonderful memory.

Yeah - the positive events are trying their best to outnumber the negative events in your life right now. Hope they keep coming in.
