Default Fun Getting Ready for Valentines Day

I'm spending my weekend getting ready for Valentines Day. I've mailed the grandkids cards, they love to receive something in the mail. The kids will all be here for Sunday dinner.
My daughter-in-law always says to my son " I wonder if your mom is going to make those yummy Valentine cookies this year" So I made a triple batch of buttery, chewy, sugar cookies last night. I guess I'll be frosting a lot of cookies today. I also made chocolate berry tarts. I was surprised by how simple they were to make. When my kids were young and living at home I always made my entire dinner heart shaped. What do you do to celebrate Valentines Day? Peggy

Well, 34 years ago I gave birth!!!! LOL Yes, I have a Valentine's Baby!

I usually do goody bags for my grandchildren but might not this year. They don't need anymore chocolate after all the holidays!! They've just now come down from the walls. HeHe

Thirty-one years ago I had a baby girl and I got the biggest heart shaped box of candy that DH could find. Course Mom didn't get to eat it. It went home with the 3 other kids and Daddy and Grandma. We had 4 babies born that day.

That is so sweet, my baby daughter arrived 2 days before Valentine's Day 25 years ago, god I feel so old now lol

My darling husband who normally doesn't do alot for Valentine's Day other than the card and chocolate's floored me tonight, he brought me this box that was heart shaped with a silk bow, and when I opened it there was a beautiful Swarovski Crystal cross inside I'll try and post pics of it later. The down side he found out he has to travel on business that day so I got my present early!
