From another born before 1946, I agree with Jan.

I am a baby boomer. I remember when "women's Lib" was stared....what a joke! All you had to do was marry an Iowa farmer and you were liberated enough to work right along beside him on the farm!

I have kids in the Generation X and Y.

I am in the baby boomer class. I agree with the Y (why?) generation examples, and with that said, I think I am actually in the "because I said so!" generation. :-)

I thought the quiet generation referred to the 1950's folks who went along with the crowd...women dressed in high heels to cook dinner, served cocktails to her neighbors, obeyed without discussion! Stepford wife type....Not that my mother was anything like that!

Maybe you pre 46'ers just can't remember that stuff....{{{giggle}}}

Love this! I'm a baby boomer. Stitchit123, I so agree with you. My adult children and my teenage grands walk away from me when when I tell young men with droopy drawers, "Look, if I wanted to see underwear, I'd go home and do laundry. Since I'm here, that should tell you I don't want to do laundry or see drawers. Pull your pants up!" Now why in the world would my own DC and DGD find that embarrassing????

I'm a baby boomer and proud of it! I have two daughters that are gen X. I'm a retired middle school/special Ed teacher and the cartoon made me think of former students. I kept zip ties in my cabinets and the boys knew if they walked around like that I would hook a tie through their belt loops and the only way they could get it off was to cut it with a scissors.

I rather see the droopy pants and wild hair then the tattoos and piercing. The clothing styles and hair will go away when it comes time to be taken seriously. Reminds me of my niece who is living with me. At age 16 she wanted her belly button pierced. No. She wanted her nose pierced. NO. She wanted a tattoo. NO. She said what can I do!!!! I told her she could dye her hair any and all colors or shave her head. That would make all the statements she needed to make as a teenager. She dyed her hair jet black, wore heavy eye make up, she looked like Mortisha Munster. That lasted until she wanted a part time job and kids that looked presentable were getting hired before her. One employer told her she would scare the kids and his grandmother. LOL.

haa, there was a man outside the grocery store asking us to sign a petition. He had on pants like that.
I was shocked and screamed OMG I see your crack. Wonder if he wore pants like that again.
I'm supposed to be the silent generation. I think not. ;-)
