That is hilarious!
A similar thing happened to my husband many years ago when he had his wisdom teeth out by an oral surgeon. He used to be extremely shy and would never talk to anyone other than close family or friends. Well, after his wisdom teeth extraction, I could hear him from where I was waiting in the lobby. He would say "Yes, I am!" and quite loudly. The nurse would answer back, "No, you're not!", and he would more loudly say, "Yes, I am!" This went back and forth as she wheeled him out to where I was sitting. By then everyone was looking at him and smiling. There he was in a wheelchair with his cheeks puffed out from all the gauze packing and you could tell by his eyes that he was high as a kite. He continued to argue with the nurse...."Yes, I am!"..."No, you're not!"..."Yes, I am!".......and so on. I finally asked what the argument was about and the nurse said, "He thinks he's going to go home now and eat a big steak! I told him that, No, he's not!" Everyone in the lobby was having a good laugh, and I think he finally realized how loud he had been, which embarrassed him a lot. He got quiet then and we wheeled him on to the door so I could get the car. No, he didn't go home and eat a steak. He was pretty much confined to bed the rest of the day, and got to eat yummy jelloinstead.

Never regret growing older, its a privilege denied to many.
Be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.
