Ok, the whole 'let's get organized' but has bitten me as well... and not just for my sewing room - my whole house is getting an over haul - but today, in particular, we worked on the sewing room!!! In one of our bedrooms upstairs we have a storage area that is the entire lenght of the room - same width as our oversized two car garage!! It's about 3 feet wide - big area... We cleaned it out today - we'd just piled things in there for the last 10 years or so - we now have TONS of garbage for tommorow's pick up and a load of stuff for our garage sale in two weeks AND a huge amount of storage space now!!! I will store my fabric in there and then use my sewing room for - - - -well, sewing. Can't wait to get back at it tomorrow!!! It will be so nice to have my room nice and neat for once. And the 'new' way to fold fabric just posted on here from Tipnut couldn't have come at a better time!!

Wow, you go girl, it is nice to get organized. I posted a link on this site Spring Cleaning 2010 and have posted some cool links to help us get organzied.

We have been married since 1975 and last summer and fall we worked on cleaning out the detached garage (24 x 48). We have our car and truck in the garage and the other area was lawn mower, 2 snow blowers, boxes, some of my stuff ( ha ha) so we got it all organized and is so much better now. We also have an old staircase to go up in the loft of the garage which is for storage so we moved things up there but all organized.

I also worked on house and craft supplies which I have more to do. It sure makes it easier to take care of when you have things organized and you know where to find things.

My resolution for the year was "don't put it down, put it away". It has helped keep things a lot more organized. (Well, except for DH's stack of mail on the dining room table.)

I bet you feel great after cleaning out that storage area! And you will even make some money for doing it! Gotta make you feel good.
