A good friend of my DH has been diagnosed with this terrible disease. This is how he wants to live the rest of his life, with new insights. We were very touched..

Good gifts wrapped in a lousy package-- multiple myeloma

Hear from old friends
Find new dimensions of faith
Receive lots of love and appreciation
Recalibrate life priorities
Experience new levels of serenity
Gain new insights into life
Strengthen family ties
See friendships deepen
Make ordinary stuff extraordinary
Learn more about patience, humility, peace, serenity, acceptance.

Audit "hematology/oncology"101 and expand your vocabulary
Join a new tribe--understand some new group norms and culture

Learn how to squeeze the juice out of every moment
Find out what you are made of

Let go of the "why's" and focus on the "lessons to be learned"

Look for new insights, attitudes, outlooks, and experiences

Remember that gratitude and service are antidotes to selfishness, selfpity, and despair

I am so sorry for your DH's friends diagnosis. I think we would all do well to adopt his insights. I wish him well.

Ditter, this touches my heart. My brother's girlfriend has had this for 3 years and I marvel at her insistence at enjoying her life and giving so much happiness to everyone she knows. I love her so much!

When I was a Hospice nurse, one of my treasured patients had multiple myeloma. He lived longer than was expected so I had quite a while to get to know him. He was in his late 30's. Precious person with a horrible disease.

Your friend's list is wonderful. We should all take that to heart and try it.

May God Bless him. I am glad he has friends to be there for him during this difficult time. God Bless you and your husband also! Hugs, Sandy
