Good news and bad news

I am not sure if you plan to loose more weight but when I lost weight and got frustrated with having to buy new pants some one suggested getting stretch pants. I now wear a lot of clothes from the sports section and from a brand called lularoe that is sold kind of like tupperware at house parties and online. It is very forgiving and always fits.http://www.lularoe.com/

and yes I am over 50. We deserve to be comfy too.

I have the same issues. But I look at both as good news. I have lost 39 lbs and my pants keep falling down. Also the but is too big. Well I do what someone suggested, I take them in on the back and back side of the side seems. So far so good. I also have darted the front of my pants (both slacks and jeans)

That you all for your responses. It is good to have friends who "have been there" and understand. I have lost this same 25-30 pounds about 4 times during the last 25-30 years and I am going to work hard to keep it off. I am now at goal weight. If anybody needs encouragement to do this, I'm available.......for free.

I have lost about 15 pounds. I had the same problem. I wear the three too big pants around the house (retired). I bought two pairs that fit and wear them when I leave the house. I still plan to lose more weight which is getting harder.
Congrats on your weight loss.

Congratulations on the big weight loss! I'll bet you feel great.
A seamstress once told me that clothes can be taken down 2 sizes with care, but no more unless they are recut.
You've worked hard at weight loss...go shopping!

I agree! I've done tailoring and garment construction most of my life. Pants are hard to take up and still have them fit correctly. If you only need to take up a bit, you can do it out of the side seams, but it you take too much out of the sides, they won't fit correctly.
When I lost 30 lbs, I just bought new pants. I'd gone down 2 sizes and it was just too much work to alter the pants I had.
