Big, BIG fun at Grandma's! It's all about building fond memories while having a great time. Looks like you have the 'recipe!'

Thanks Burnsk! If you don't laugh at life you cry and I would rather laugh! I have a negative DH so I am always trying to keep positive!

These kids really help keep your spirits up! You can't stay too down when you hear them giggling!

Thanks for all the kind words about the kids. I worked in a daycare and then ran my own daycare with 33 kids so I have early childhood education and experience. So I keep 2 big bins of craft stuff and I let the kids paint and make crafts and stuff. I love to see their art work. I have a thick file of stuff the kids have made over the years. Tyler who is 17 now used to do alot of pictures when he was 4 on up to 11 or 12. Nicci was real prolific when she was growing up. I love all the stuff they do and it shows how they think about life. So much fun. I have a large manilla envelope full of pictures Nicci did on cotton fabric with fabric paint when she was a preteen. One of these days I'd really like to do some thing with them.

They did Rachael! Mom had them turn the cupcakes over and dunk them in the frosting and then again into the sprinkles. So fast and easy! They loved it. Course they loved eating them as much or more!!

Wish I could send each and everyone of you a cupcake!! They are delicious!

Those pictures took me back to my own childhood and my grandma.
I have a twin sister and we took turns going to grandma's house. One weekend it was my turn the next was my sister's. My Grandmother taught me everything regarding how to sew, cook, crochet, knit, clean house etc. Our mother was not very domestic, I guess because my Grandmother was so strict. Many times I was in tears, but I sure loved her! Her motto was " do it until it is perfect" among other sayings. I grew up having to have EVERYTHING perfect. It has been a difficult habit to break (still working on it) but, my family laughs now because they at least know how to clean their own houses even if their own spouses or roommates don't. I am refered to as the "House Fairy"or "Laundry fairy". They leave messages begging for the "Fairy" to help them when everyday life gets in the way. Of course what is a Grandma to do.......
