My DD just bought a house where all of the round door handles are "chewed up" by a big dog - the handles inside of a room and out side of a room. Either the dog wanted in a room or out of a room. So, her DH went to Lowe's and bought a case of the newer door handles - the flat, horizontal ones. They do not have any animals, but were warned that the newer, flat door handles are easy for a dog or cat to open. LOL

My cat also figured out how to open folding closet doors by pushing in the right spot.
Flat handles are a cinch for them.
Glad they don't have hands like us.

Did you notice that the cat waited to see if the dog got in trouble before venturing out himself? Lol! Got to love fur kids.

The vet I used to work for did the spay surgery on my first basenji, but not that day.
Seems she did something he had never encountered before: she took her paw and lifted the latch on the cage at night, and ate almost all of the bag of dogfood he had stored in that room!

That was the day we learned what we had heard: basenjis use their paws like cats (the breed of dog for people who like cats)
