I came home tonight after working an hour and a half over what I was required to work and my husband had done the dishes! He never does the dishes! I do not mow the yard, he does not do the dishes. The arrangement is fine, but I was so thrilled with him tonight. I have a new job description that I do not have a good grip on yet, I just began my masters program, and I have about 5 paying quilting jobs waiting for me. This one act of kindness by my husband will go a long way to making life bearable for me. Jesus knew who I needed by my side in life.

Isn't it the best when the littlest surprise can make your day?

Of all household chores, doing dishes is my least favorite and I told him that before we got married. So...I cook and serve the food, he and dd do the dishes. Works out wonderfully. I don't mow either. But, in 15+years he's never made or changed a bed, swept, mopped or vacuumed a floor, or cleaned a toilet, tub or sink so I guess it sort of evens out.

Awwww! That was so sweet!

Mine cooks, cleans the house, and keeps up the outside work. Though I do have to watch him as he will get to clorox happy! LOL
