UGH, I am really numb right now! My boss called the other day to say the resturaunt I work in had to be shut down because of some fire protection problem, it went off and now theres a huge mess????????? So, I figured, Cool, a few days off! Now he calls and says he doesnt know if hes going to open up again????!!!!!!!!!!
Our area is so bad with unemployment, and I am really scarred I wont find something.....I've been there 8 years, and all my customers have become such good friends.....

Thanks guys, I really need a shoulder right now.............

Apply for unemployment ASAP because the countdown starts from the DAY you apply. There's a period where you have no $$ coming in, kwim? :(

I agree with Rebecca, apply for Unemployment TODAY! My daughter was laid off from work and ending up going back to college and getting a certificate. She now has a better job than she had before.

My thoughts and prayers are with you!

Go get the unemployment, that is what it is for.

Now you have the opportunity to access your situation. I know that you will miss your old cutsomers, so could you get a group together to rehab the restaurant and be co owners? Talk to your old boss, can you pitch in some free labor in exchange for a part of the profits?

What was that I just heard? Was it Opportunity knocking on your front door? Quick, go look!
