Growing out your hair takes time. The trick is not getting anxious.
To keep the yellow out try Jhirmack shampoo for gray or blond hair, if you can't find Jhirmack other companies make shampoo for grey or blond hair. Another tip is use a little dab of Alberto VO5 Conditioning Hairdressing for gray, white,sliver blond hair. This will give your hair a sparkle , very small amount. People are always commenting on the color and shine of my hair and these are my secrets, not any more now that I have shared them with all of you.lol The quilt tips are very much appreciated for a newbe quilter. I started after Christmas last year and love this board.

Most people do not remember the old wives tale of brushing 100 strokes morning and night..but it does work!
While in beauty college I did a study on the "Czar of long hair"..My own hair while in school was down to my waist and virgin blond....what fun I had...
anyway,..George Michael fell in love with his mother's hair..it was on the ground long...and he wrote many a books and study for years on how a person grows and cares for such long hair...
the brushing helps stimulate the blood flow to the scalp...
another thing was to trim the slightest bit, even 1/8" off the ends every 6-8 weeks!
another was less frequent shampooing...of course with today's modern products that might not work too well for most!

Let my hair "grow out" over 10 years ago. Fortunately it had multi layers of white, grey and black. I keep it short so haircuts were every 5 weeks. Got tired of 'medium ash blond out of the bottle' - it never really covered the grey. Glad I did it.

I love these tips - trying to keep them in mind when I decide to let my grey shine out. (I color it now)
