Search for clip art, and finish the picture. Just remember that sharpies can bleed, and allow for it. Think 'embroidery look'? Fabric tattoo? Sharpies come in about 24 colors. I once used a fat red one to change the color of a print to get it to mach something else. It is in a quilt, and the color hasn't faded. I don't know if this has been suggested yet or not but anytime I want to get sharpie out of anything I use WD40 and rub it in really good. Then wash it.
I have had better results using denatured alcohol which doesn't have water in it. Works on most things but I'm not sure about fabric.
I think I'll do a test on some fabric and see how it does.

I have always used lysol. Works like a charm.
rubbing alcohol works great.
