Happy Thanksgiving everyone.
No one expected here until dinner. I don't do early morning get ready for noon day meal. LOL I hope everyone has a wonderful day with no drama. I know many will feel sad and many will feel glad that family is coming or not coming. The only advice I give myself is don't say anything about anything. Just smile and say okay or I know. Works wonders for one day.

Happy Thanksgiving! It made me smile when I watched CBS This Morning yesterday and Mo Rocca did a piece about having a moderator might be a good idea for the families that have trouble avoiding upsetting topics at the holiday meals. We are blessed not to need one. Hope everyone has a good day.

It was a good day (and a lot of work). Everyone gone by 4:30, some had other places to go. One GS worked, so I sent big helpings of everything to him. Got a pkg of take out containers at Dollar Store one day, they come in handy. Everyone comes back in 2 short wks for early Christmas dinner so wash up tablecloths and do it all over again.

I was expecting some remarks from a relative of a relative but nothing happened. Had a lovely meal and wonderful conversation. I heard something the other day that has helped: WAIT: why am I talking?

Great advice for everyone. We didn't have much conflicting conversations but there are always a few. No problems though since we all try to respect the others points of view. ( Even if they are wrong! ) lol

so far we've had a great Thanksgiving (even if exhausted!) Thursday with all the kids and grandkids--wonderful meal and everyone had a good time and went home "stuffed"! then yesterday my son and I and some temporary g-kid helpers (pooped out too fast) cut down a diseased pine and burnt it and then we all met again at a local resturant and then Santa on the town square--only the 2yr old cried! And today other family out, weather great so the kids played on trampoline and had lots of fun (so did adults!) and now son's family is at in-laws and we get a chance to just SIT! They leave tomorrow and I'll be ready to do some quilting work.
