In case you said yes.. here you go. I've been busy. A photo-taking friend hollered at me for not protecting my shots, so now thay are--most of them. I'm still working out the kinks--such as getting the C symbol in there and making them darker. But, I'm gaining.

Two students who are best friends came over (and the younger sister and brother)...Kennedy came over... and Rachel came home for a day and stuck her hammock in our walnut tree. And then there are the foals and flowers. :D

My favorite photo!!

I have 9 more days of school before I can start my vacation!!!!! :D :D :D :D :D
The last weeks are the toughest for sure. But, I should be able to start quilting again once I have a few more hours at home!!
I'm changing classrooms after 7 years in the same one... so it's going to be a LOT of work to pack my room up. I'll get my students to help on the last days.
I just finished the "gifts of writing" for my students--Terri is editing them for me. I still have to get them bubbles, bubble gum, and candy necklaces for the last week... two parents are throwing an ice cream party. Report cards are started. Pant, pant, pant...

Karla, Thank you!! I was going through some withdrawal! These are all beautiful pics! I love the ones of both foals clipped with the legs and fetlocks left long..makes them look like the big guys (Clydesdales!!) What a contrast that would be, right??

Karla your compositons are so amazing! You have such an eye! have you taken classes or is it just a natural gift? I am an amateur photographer but I love to take things that interest me. I do alot of my grands but I also like nature pictures a lot.
I used to walk alot in the summer and I walked by this one trailor where there was a tiny garden In this garden there were 3 corn stalks. I went back and took a pic and it is so forlorn looking! I don't know where the picture is as it was before digital. It is stored somewhere.
There was this tree that had an unusual shape. I took differant views of it. It is very satisfying almost as satisfying as quilting!!

Those are wonderful pictures, thank you. I love the hammock in the tree, that's what I call getting away from it all! My daughter only has 3 more days of school and she is almost counting the hours. :)

Thanks for the pictures!
My granddaughter will "ask" about the "doggie horses" I was trying to tell her that they were the size of a doggie! :D :D

sandpat--that's exactly what Kennedy said about Tucker--that he looks like a draft. :D

Rhonda--I took a non-credit class once years ago--but they didn't teach about composition. Hubby says it's my eye that makes the photos--not the camera. I say the camera helps a LOT!

I agree photography is as satisfying as quilting--oh yeah. :D

A gentleman from the horse forum says he sells his photos on notecards...is that a good idea? Do people still write notes these days?

You are thinking about your photo's on note cards.....How about on Birthday, get well, thank you notes of the horses. Put a cute little blurb on them and they will sell like hotcakes...............
